What courses and methods of learning do you offer?
We offer courses for English Language (all levels), English for Business, Customised One-to-One English classes, exam preparation courses for IELTS General and IELTS Academic, PTE Academic and CELPIP.
We also offer Arabic language courses, French Language courses and Chinese Language courses as well as English for Young Learners. Methods of learning include small group classes, both online and in-person and private One-to-One classes (online and in-person).
I don’t know my English level. How do I determine my level?
If you are unsure of your English language level, take our FREE English Level Placement Test for grammar and vocabulary. Once you complete the test, you will receive your determined English level based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of References) for languages.
What is the maximum number of students assigned to group courses?
The maximum number of students assigned to a group course is 10. A Private One-to-One course has 1 student.
Are books or course materials included in the course fee?
Your one-time registration fee covers all course materials (soft or hard copies) that you will need on your course. Please enquire for additional books or items available to purchase.
What payment methods do you accept?

Is VAT included in the course fees?
Yes, it is.
What are your payment and cancellation terms and conditions?
All online payments are conducted in AED.
Any balance of course fees must be paid in advance before the commencement of the next class. Your enrolment will only be secured after receiving the full course fee by the administration team. Full prepayment is required in advance; you can settle your payment in cash, by cheque or credit card.
- If you are not clear about the amount to be paid, please contact us.
- Full payment is required prior to the start of the course.
- The registration is considered complete only after the full payment for the course is received.
Cancellation Policy for Private One-to-One classes (online and in-class):
In the event that you cannot attend your scheduled private one-to-one class, you must notify us at least 12 hours in advance. We will then arrange to reschedule your class to another convenient and available date and time. If you do not inform us of a cancellation 12 hours in advance, the rate will be charged and your hours will not be carried forward.
Cancellation for Group classes (online and in-class):
- In the event that you cannot attend your scheduled group class, you must notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
- If you miss a group class, we can send information about that lesson to you and you may seek the help of your teacher to find out what you may have missed. Please note that group class schedules are fixed and you will not be able to reschedule group classes or be refunded for any group classes that you did not attend. If students do not attend a scheduled lesson for a group class (online or in-class), it will be considered as taken.
- Aurora World Education Services reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a session or course due to unforeseen circumstances, teacher`s sickness or events of force majeure.
If you have to cancel your course for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible. A cancellation policy will apply as follows:
- Cancellation 7 or more days before the start of the course: refund of 100% of the course fees.
- Cancellation 48 hours or more before the start of the course: refund of 50% of the course fees.
- No refund is issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours from the start of the course.
- Cancelling the attendance in an on-going group course forfeits the right of claiming any refund or attending a different course.
- Cancelling an on-going private or semi private course forfeits the right of claiming any refund.
- A credit note can be issued valid for 3 months. It is the student’s responsibility to request and collect the credit note from the institute in a timely manner.
- Credit notes can be made transferable within the 3-month time frame. It can be used for an alternative schedule, course option or a different language or service of the same value. Credit notes can also be transferred to new enrollees.
- The registration fee is not refundable under any circumstances.
Will I get a certificate at the end of my course?
Yes, however, students must attend at least 4 courses of their respective level in order to receive a free, signed Certificate of Completion.
In rare cases, courses may be postponed due to unexpected number of students, conflicting schedules, sickness or unforeseen changes. Should this be the case, we will ensure that you are informed well in advance and are up to date with the course status.
Do I get a discount for referrals?
You may be eligible for a discount if you refer someone to Aurora World Education. Please contact us for further details.
Do you have courses on the weekend?
Yes, we do! We have a range of courses that take place on weekends.
Can I choose my own schedule for a private course?
Yes, you can choose the time and frequency of your classes as per your convenience and the availability of the teacher.
Are there free mock tests for exam preparation courses?
You will be entitled to one free mock IELTS mock test for any IELTS exam preparation course you sign up to. The mock test is optional, you do not have to take it.
The Reading, Writing and Listening Mock Test will be done in one sitting and the speaking will be done separately in another sitting with an IELTS teacher.
Just like in the real test, you will be given approx. 2 hours 40 minutes to complete the Reading, Writing and Listening sections.
The IELTS Speaking Mock Test is also optional and takes approx. 20 minutes with feedback from your IELTS instructor.Â
Additional formal Mock Tests under exam conditions are available at an extra charge.
PTE:
Your preparation course will cover extensive practice questions with feedback, techniques and strategies for all of the sections. You will also be given additional multimedia mock tests via an official Pearson PTE multimedia programme.
CELPIP:
Your preparation course will cover extensive practice questions with feedback, techniques and strategies for all of the sections.
Can I register for my IELTS exam with you?
Yes you can! We have an IELTS Partnership Programme with the British Council so that we can register candidates for the IELTS test.
Is there an online learning policy?
Yes, there is. Please make sure you thoroughly read it before starting your online course.
Online Learning Policy:
We treat online group classes as a small community. We all have the same objective: to learn. We’d like each of you to approach your online class with a great attitude and a willingness to help each other. Many problems and questions can be resolved by asking a fellow student or your teacher. Don’t be afraid to ask! We’re always here to help you and we truly believe that your experience will be better with good communication and preparation.
Objective of Online Learning:
- To enhance the quality of learning by meeting the learning style or needs of all students.
- To improve user-accessibility and time flexibility for students and teachers.
- To promote positive learning behaviour and to create an appropriate and safe Education environment for the success and enhancement of online learning based on the integration and continuity of education during natural disasters, pandemics and other events of force majeure.

Netiquette (Net-étiquette)!
During online learning, sometimes we forget that there’s a human being on the other side of the computer, some people think that a lower standard of ethics or personal behavior is acceptable in cyberspace. This is not the case and we ask you to be ethical and consult the code you follow in real life. Breaking the law is bad Netiquette!
If you’re tempted to do something that’s illegal or offensive in cyberspace, we consider this as bad netiquette and this could lead to being removed from your course. We will not tolerate any form of illegal and/or immoral cyber activity.
Remember:
- When someone makes a mistake, whether it’s a spelling error, a strange question or an unnecessarily long answer, be kind about it. If you feel strongly about it, think twice before reacting and if you have to react, make sure it’s constructive and non-offensive.
- Be as polite as you are in person
- Stay on topic
- Remember that nothing is private online. Most things you post and share are probably going to be there for a long time. This means that you should stay away from anything considered inappropriate and rude.
Online classroom rules:
Please always be on time for your class. If you are unable to make it on time, please contact your teacher or the reception at Aurora World Education Services at least 24 hours in advance.
- Please do not eat during your online class.
- Please do not misuse your electronic devices during class time for any other purposes not related to the class.
- Please keep your mobile phones on silent and avoid answering any phone calls during class time unless they are emergency calls.
- Verbal abuse or harassment towards your peers or teacher will not be accepted in any form.
- Using any means of communication or social media for illegal or immoral purposes, or to harm Aurora World Education Services, its employees, or others is a serious offense.
- Wearing clothes that violate public decency and morals while attending your class when broadcasting live is not accepted.
- Private conversations or discourse that are not related to your course and that will hinder the course of the lesson during the live broadcasting of the online class will not be accepted.
- Using profanity, racial slurs, or other language (text, sound, or hint) that may be offensive to any other user is not accepted.
- Using e-mail or social media to reveal information of a personal nature is not acceptable.
- Photocopying, downloading, copying or publishing and circulating course material provided by Aurora World Education Services without permission can lead to a serious offense.
- Smoking while attending the distance learning period or possessing any smoking paraphernalia while attending the online class is not accepted.
- Divulging other students’ personal information, including home addresses and phone numbers is a serious offense.
- Searching for information, obtaining specific copies, or modifying files and other data, or passwords belonging to other users on the network is a serious offense.
- Entering and using the account of another teacher or student with or without his/her knowledge and/or consent is a serious offense.
- Installing or downloading software or products that might harm the device or the network of the online class is a serious offense
- Using any camera (available as part of or as an add-on to certain devices) for personal use, and/or sharing photos or any information about any of the students, teachers, employees, or any other person without their explicit consent is a serious offense.
- Recording the online class session whether it is through the network or using another device or program, is not accepted. Recording conversations between students and or teachers during the online class, without prior permission is a serious offense.
- Creating or opening hyperlinks or any associated files unless they are sent from a trusted source is a serious offense.
- Using montage software that can produce unreal and fake content and circulating it on social media is a serious offense.
- Using the network to develop programs that harass users or to penetrate or destroy other people’s accounts and devices is a serious offense.
- Establishing networks or network connections to make live communications including audio or video (relay chat) without prior formal permission is a serious offense.
- Publishing, creating, exchanging or promoting malicious or suspicious software is a serious offense.
Hardware Requirements:
To successfully complete your online class, you will need access to a laptop, tablet or smartphone device with a functional camera and microphone.
You will be given a FREE USB flash drive when you sign up to your online or off-line course. This USB flash drive will include all of the files needed to complete your course, therefore, please make sure you have this before you start and keep it safe.
